Bungalow Renovation Project – Staveley

This full renovation project involved the comprehensive refurbishment and modernisation of a detached bungalow in Staveley, undertaken for a private client. The works were carefully planned and delivered in a logical construction sequence to ensure efficiency, quality, and minimal disruption. The project was successfully completed on time and within the agreed budget.

1. Strip-Out & Preparation

The project commenced with a full internal strip-out, removing existing fixtures, fittings, outdated services, and finishes. This prepared the property for structural and service upgrades while allowing detailed inspections of the existing fabric.

2. New Roof Installation

A complete new roof was installed to enhance weather protection, thermal performance, and long-term durability. This included new roofing materials, upgraded insulation, and associated rainwater goods to ensure compliance with current standards.

First Fix Electrics & Plumbing

With the structure secure, the property underwent a full rewire and complete plumbing replacement.

  • New Electrics: Installation of modern wiring, consumer unit, lighting circuits, power outlets, and provisions for contemporary living requirements.

  • New Plumbing: Replacement pipework throughout, including hot and cold water systems, boiler, heating distribution, and waste connections.

New Windows & External Doors

All existing windows and doors were replaced with new energy-efficient units, improving insulation, security, and overall appearance while enhancing natural light throughout the home.

5. Internal Renovation & Second Fix

The internal refurbishment phase included plastering, joinery, and second fix installations. The bungalow was fully renovated internally, comprising:

  • A brand-new, fully fitted kitchen with modern cabinetry and integrated appliances

  • A complete bathroom renovation with contemporary sanitaryware and finishes

  • New internal doors, flooring, skirting, and decorative finishes throughout

This phase transformed the property into a modern, comfortable living space while maintaining the character of the original bungalow.

6. Landscaping & External Works

The final stage of the project focused on extensive landscaping works to the gardens. This included ground preparation, hard landscaping elements, pathways, and planting schemes to create functional and visually appealing outdoor spaces that complement the renovated property.
